Manly have put a dampener on with a resounding 24-14 NRL win over the Prime Minister's beloved Cronulla.
Less than 24 hours after being returned to power, the PM and proud Sharks fan was at PointsBet Stadium hoping for another win to complete the perfect weekend.
But, unlike Mr Morrison on Saturday night, there was no great escape as Manly's sixth win of the year, and 16th from their past 18 games against Cronulla elevated the Sea Eagles - who many tipped to challenge for the wooden spoon - to the cusp of the top four.
"Who'd miss this?" a beaming Mr Morrison told reporters before shaking hands and posing for selfies with Sharks supporters.

Mr Morrison is a prominent supporter of the Sharks and member for the Division of Cook, which encompasses Cronulla.

But it wasn't all smooth sailing for the PM - Manly put a dampener on things by inflicting a 24-14 drubbing to the Sharks.
Earlier, the prime minister went to church with wife Jenny on Sunday morning after the miracle victory.
"I give thanks to live in the greatest country in all the world," he told reporters outside the Horizon Church.
"Thanks again to all Australians all across the country."
Hugging members of the church congregation, Mr Morrison praised the people of the Sutherland Shire in his home seat of Cook, and his team of local volunteers.

"They have stayed with me ever since I was first elected to parliament in 2007," he said.
"You don't get to be prime minister and serve in that capacity unless you are first a member of your local electorate."

Pastor Andrew Evans, a former South Australian state politician who founded the Family First party, ministered the service on Sunday morning.
