Each year, the Scanlon Foundation probes into Australians' opinions on multiculturalism and diversity, with their Mapping Social Cohesion surveys.

The surveys offer a perspective on how we feel about the diverse face of Australia, and how Australians perceive ongoing issues like the economy, racism, immigration and other issues of national importance.

The foundation's 2015 report revealed some surprises about how Australians feel and what they are concerned about.
