A stray cat has managed to infiltrate a Turkish news studio during a morning broadcast, jumping up on to the newsdesk before parking itself on the host’s laptop.

Host of Good Morning Denizli, Kudret Çelebioğlu, maintained impressive composure after noting that there was a “surprise guest” in the studio.

Mr Çelebioğlu continued to read through the day’s newspaper headlines as the white and grey cat peeked its head over the newsdesk, before jumping up to explore.

Upstaging the host, the cat then wandered over to park itself on the keyboard of the host’s laptop.

At that point, Mr Çelebioğlu had to call for help from a production assistant, but not before tickling the stray on the head before producers cut away.

According to Hurriyet Daily News, the cat has been named Hüsnü and adopted by a staff member at the station.

It’s not the first stray cat incident for Turkey.

Last November at least three sneaky cats broke through security and made it to the main stage ahead of the G20 summit.
