Three busy days for Prince William

Prince William will visit some of the worst-hit areas of flooding and Cyclone Yasi during a three-day visit beginning later this week.

Prince William is set to have a jam-packed three days in Australia where he'll meet flood victims and attend the odd fundraising sausage sizzle.

The federal government has confirmed the details of the Prince's visit which kicks off on Saturday 19th March when he arrives Down Under from New Zealand.

He'll shake hands with locals affected by floods and Cyclone Yasi throughout Queensland attend the Spirit of the Country concert in Toowoomba and help raise funds for the Premier's official Disaster Relief Appeal in Brisbane.

The North Queensland Cowboys are hoping to rope in a royal fan after officially asking Buckingham Palace if Prince William can attend Saturday night's NRL game against Newcastle at Dairy Farmers Stadium.

Cowboys chief executive Peter Jourdain sent the invitation yesterday and expects to hear back from the Palace in the next 48 hours.

In Victoria Prince William will inspect areas still under water in Kerang in the north-west of the state.

His fiancee Catherine Middleton won't be travelling with him.

He last visited Australia in January 2010.
