Bana Alabed, the 7-year-old who has grown a worldwide following on Twitter for her real-time account of the Syrian civil war has been evacuated from war-torn Aleppo, according to the Syrian Medical Society.
A Tweet from Ahmad Tarakji, the president of the Syrian Medical Society, indicates she is now safely outside of Syria's largest city.
The Tweet is accompanied by a picture of Bana with a man who is reportedly her father.

Bana’s Twitter account, which is managed by her English-speaking mother, has been documenting her experience of war since September. She has told of losing everything from close friends to her house in the bombardment, along with her frustration of not being able to go to school.
Her account has been criticised for potentially being propaganda. However has shown her accounts are likely true.
About 3,000 people were evacuated from the rebel-held area of Aleppo in Monday after hours of delay, a medical official told AFP.
"About 20 buses carrying people from Aleppo have arrived" at the staging ground west of the city, said Dr Ahmad Dbis, who heads a team of doctors and volunteers coordinating evacuations.
The evacuation deal for Aleppo was brokered by regime ally Russia and rebel backer Turkey, and has been overseen by the International Committee for the Red Cross.
UN envoy Staffan de Mistura estimated that as of Thursday around 40,000 civilians and perhaps as many as 5,000 opposition fighters remained in Aleppo's rebel enclave.
