Four rare, white tiger cubs bound for Libya have been seized by Tunisian customs officials.
The driver of the vehicle said he bought the cubs at a zoo in Enfidha region in the east of country, but did not have the any documentation nor a necessary export licence, according to the La Presse newspaper report on Saturday.
He apparently had planned to smuggle them into Libya.
The tiger cubs were handed over to a specialist division of the agriculture ministry.
