Two dedicated teams of journalists produce the bulletins, providing balanced coverage of major national and international stories, in-language, every weeknight.
SBS عربي News is presented by journalists Nissrine Khadra, Ali Bahnasawy and Hadil AlSwaiedi. Saleh Saqqaf is the program's executive producer.
Journalists Jeff Kuan, Rena Li and Michelle Chen are presenting news in Mandarin to audiences on SBS 中文 News under executive producer Lili Zhou.
SBS director of news and current affairs, Mandi Wicks, said the introduction of the bulletins is an exciting step in expanding SBS’s multilingual services.
“We are thrilled to be launching these bespoke SBS news bulletins for Australia's growing and diverse Arabic and Mandarin-speaking communities, created by an exceptional team of bilingual journalists dedicated to delivering a service designed for the communities they are a part of," she said.

SBS has been delivering multilingual services to Australian audiences for more than 45 years, with news provided in more than 60 languages across SBS Radio, podcasts and digital platforms.
The news bulletins build on SBS' existing services for Australia's Arabic and Mandarin-speaking communities, including SBS Arabic24, SBS Mandarin, and digital offering SBS 中文.
Both new bulletins will soon be available to watch on SBS WorldWatch – SBS’s new multilingual news channel – during prime time when it launches later this year.
The channel will be SBS's sixth free-to-air television channel, joining SBS, National Indigenous Television (NITV), SBS VICELAND, SBS Food and SBS World Movies.
