The head of the FBI's Washington field office, Steven D'Antuono, told reporters on Tuesday that they have received about 100,000 videos and photos from the public to help with arrests of those responsible for the deadly pro-Trump riot at the US Capitol which took place on (date here).
Justice Department officials said they are considering filing serious charges of seditious activity against some individuals who were involved in the siege.
Five people died as a result of the riot, including a Capitol Police officer. No one has been charged yet in connection with any of those deaths.
Jacob Anthony Chansley
Jacob Anthony Chansley, 33, also known as Jake Angeli, who refers to himself as the QAnon Sharman, was arrested at the weekend. He was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
Angeli describes himself the "Q Shaman" and is a well-known follower of the unfounded QAnon conspiracy theory who lives in Glendale, Arizona.
He became prominent in the media coverage of the Capitol riots, appearing without a shirt, a fur hat with horns, and carrying a "Q sent me" flag.

Derrick Evans
Newly elected Republican lawmaker, Derrick Evans, 35, resigned from his seat in the West Virginia House of Delegates after federal prosecutors charged him following the Capitol riot.
He was arrested for trespassing in the US Capitol.
Derrick Evans allegedly posted part of his alleged entry into the Capitol building in a Facebook Live, capturing the moment the crowd cracked open the Capitol’s doors and he crossed the threshold.
He said he took responsibility for his actions -- which included allegedly livestreaming his exclamations when in the Capitol building "We're in! We're in, baby!" A man later approached him and shook his hand, saying, "Welcome to Congress."

“The past few days have certainly been a difficult time for my family, colleagues and myself, so I feel it’s best at this point to resign my seat in the House and focus on my personal situation and those I love… And more importantly, I hope it helps to begin the healing process, so we can all move forward and come together as ‘One Nation, Under God.’”
Eric Gavelek Munchel
Authorities say Eric Gavelek Munchel is the person pictured carrying a number of plastic zip ties inside the Senate chamber.
So far, he has not been accused of plotting to use the restraints, but faces disorderly conduct and violent entry charges.
Munchel, 30, faces charges including knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Nick Ochs - Proud boys
Nick Ochs was arrested at an airport in Honolulu, Hawaii, by the FBI, as he returned home from Washington DC. He is charged with unlawful entry of restricted buildings or grounds.
Social media led to his arrest. Ochs posted a picture smoking a cigarette inside the Capitol building, tweeting: "Hello from the Capital lol".
Ochs is a member of the Proud Boys, an anti-immigrant and all male far-right group founded in 2016.
President Trump addressed this group specifically in the first presidential debate. In response to a question from the group, he said: "Proud Boys, stand back and stand by."
Police officers Thomas Robertson and Jacob Fracker
Federal authorities arrested and charged two Virginia police officers who took a selfie during the attack on the US Capitol last week.
The Rocky Mount Police Department officers were charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry or disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
Fracker denied wrongdoing in a statement on Facebook:

“Lol to anyone who’s possibly concerned about the picture of me going around... Sorry I hate freedom?” Fracker wrote on Facebook, authorities said. “Not like I did anything illegal, WAY too much to lose to go there but, y’all do what you feel you need to.”
Robert Keith Packer
Robert Keith Packer, who was photographed at in the Capitol building wearing a sweatshirt that red “Camp Aushwitz,” a reference to the infamous Nazi concentration camp, has been arrested.
The 56-year-old is accused of entering or remaining in a restricted building and knowingly intending to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of government business.
