Over 200,000 homes without power
At least 210,000 homes in Queensland are experiencing power outages, according to provider Energex's latest update.

The worst affected area is the Gold Coast, where more than 67,000 properties remain without power.

More than 41,000 properties are also in the dark in Brisbane's council area.

NSW electricity provider Essential Energy said just under 10,000 homes and businesses were without power in its latest report on Monday morning.

"Repair work will continue right across the impacted area today which includes significant vegetation work to remove trees from powerlines, re-stand power poles, replace electrical assets and restring powerline."

'Put your safety first': Queensland premier urges residents to be careful around floodwaters
Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has urged residents in affected areas to prioritise their safety and remain cautious amid emergency level flood warnings.

"My message is just to just to be careful: don't go driving through flooded water. Do the little things right and you'll get through this event," he told ABC News.

"We do have a bit of rain left to go … you must always put your safety first. That's number one in a disaster. Property can be replaced, people can't."

He remained confident his state would pull through the worst of ex-Cyclone Alfred.

"I want Queenslanders to know whatever stage, wherever you're at, we will see this through, and in doing so, we’ll be a stronger, more resilient state for it."

Over 1,000 ADF personnel support recovery efforts
Around 500 Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel have been deployed to Queensland, and a further 700 are deployed in NSW, according to Defence Minister Richard Marles.

"There is still a job to be done," Marles said.

"So right now, people are very much focused on the job, making sure that recovery centres are being supported, welfare checks being done, routes are being cleared."

Marles confirmed 11 of the ADF personnel injured in a crash near Lismore have left hospital.

"All but one has been released. That's good news, and the one person who is still in hospital is in a stable condition, not a life-threatening injury, and is expected to recover so broadly, this is good news for those personnel who were part of the accident that occurred on Saturday."
