Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been re-elected for a historic third term in office. But surprise results in this election mean his party has lost its majority in parliament for the first time in a decade. Dr Stuti Bhatnagar is a Research Fellow at the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre (SDSC) at the ANU. With a PhD in politics and international relations from the University of Adelaide, she specialises in Indian foreign policy and South Asian politics.
