It's well established now that millions of customers of electronic prescriptions provider MediSecure had their data stolen in the latest cyber breach to hit Australia. The incident has once again brought the issue of data privacy to the fore, now that companies increasingly possess a range of information about Australians. A Privacy Act review is underway and experts want the government to make sure its recommendations protect Australians better than before.
