Novak Djokovic has lost his court bid to have his Australian visa reinstated.

The world number one men’s tennis player had challenged the basis for the Immigration Minister's decision to cancel his visa.

Minister Alex Hawke said the decision was made on public interest grounds, specifically to reduce the risk of the fostering of "anti-vaccination sentiment".
