The hunt for a new leader of the Liberal party is underway after Peter Dutton lost his seat in Saturday's federal election to Labor's Ali France.

Country Liberal Party Senator and opposition spokesperson for Indigenous Affairs, Jacinta Price, has told Sky News there is a process underway for that to happen.

"Well obviously that is a decision for the Liberal Party to make amongst themselves. There are a few contenders obviously. For us in the Nationals partyroom, I mean it is bittersweet because we have maintained our seats. And at least we can take with us the fact that we are representing regional Australia - and the hopes and dreams of regional Australia. And we'll continue to fight for that going forward. We're not backing down now."

But leading pollster YouGov's Paul Smith says the Coalition will be forced to adopt a "fundamental reorganisation" of the party's structure - and not just choose a new leader - to ensure its ongoing relevance to voters after its election wipeout.

With 75 per cent of the vote counted, Labor has claimed 86 seats in the House of Representatives compared to the coalition's 39, with 15 seats still in doubt.

The figures suggest the Coalition could slump to its lowest percentage of seats in parliament since the formation of the Liberal Party in the 1940s.

Two people have been arrested in Brazil over an alleged plot to detonate explosives at a free Lady Gaga concert in Rio de Janeiro.

A man described as the group's leader has been taken into custody in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, while a teenager in Rio de Janeiro has been detained initially on a separate charge of storing child pornography.

Civil police spokesperson Raissa Celles says authorities believe the suspects sought to target Brazil’s LGBTIQ-plus community.

"I also want to issue a warning to parents, who sometimes think their children are safe at home, in their rooms, but need to be concerned about what these teenagers, what these young people are consuming in terms of content and what they’re watching."

One of Pope Francis's popemobiles is being transformed into a mobile health clinic for children in the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations children's agency UNICEF says it is desperately needed because more than 9,000 children have been admitted for treatment of acute malnutrition since the beginning of the year.

The Vatican says the move fulfils one of the final wishes of Pope Francis, who died last month.

He entrusted the mobile clinic venture to the Catholic aid organisation Caritas Jerusalem.

Federal Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce has revealed he will undergo surgery for prostate cancer.

The one-time deputy prime minister, who comfortably won his regional New South Wales seat of New England in Saturday's election, revealed his diagnosis on Sunday.

Mr Joyce has told Channel Seven the surgery is scheduled for today.

He's also passed on a health message for men.

"The big thing is - look, you have got to take something positive out of it. If you're a guy - or you know a guy... once you're in your 40s, 50s - get a PSA test. Just clear your own mind that everything is fine. If you get stuff early. Like all - like melanoma everything else. If you get it early, you're going to overwhelmingly going to be okay."
