Burnt
It’s been five years since Australia’s Black Summer bushfires which cost more than 30 lives, destroyed more than 3,000 homes and burnt an area of land almost the size of the United Kingdom. Many people are still dealing with the loss and grief of what happened, and how they were left to pick up the pieces. This SBS News series focuses on one devastating summer, two communities, and the collective grief and determination they needed to get back up on their feet after disaster.
