Labor Senator for Tasmania Helen Polley appears to be the first cab off the rank in a fun election tradition - campaign videos that are clearly homemade.
Polley has taken to Twitter to 'bid adios' to Prime Minister Scott Morrison - from what looks like her office, complete with sombrero.
'Do you remember Sunny, my sombrero?' asks the Senator, 'he was very useful at the last election when we sent packing three Liberal members of parliament out of Tasmania".
To be honest, we didn’t remember, Helen. But we’re unlikely to forget now.
Sunny’s come out again because what he wants to say to Scott Morrison is: adios amigo!
Polley wraps up the 30 second video with a call to voters, and a 1.5 second power pose barreling of the camera.
It’s on (video)
It follows the release of both the Prime Minister and Opposition Leaders' first official videos of the campaign.
The PM's pitch is 1:53 minutes of his family, high vis, different demographics of voters, children and a Prime Minister in his office - a symphony of slow-mo clips woven together with a monologue from Morrison himself.
"The real question is what country do you want to live in for the next ten years?" he asks.
It also, rather confusingly, features a continuous switching of glasses. From serious 'Canberra Bubble' guy - to 'relatable dad hipster'.
Shorten, on the other hand, has gone for the 'high rise office' approach to pitch Labor's 'fair go for Australia'.
Like the Prime Minister, Shorten's family play a starring role; as do voters, high vis workwear and a lot of slow motion pointing at things in the distance.
Fans of Tanya Plibersek, Penny Wong and Anne Aly should also keep an eye out.
This is a 37 day election campaign, so homemade or not, we should expect a lot of these videos to come (from all sides of politics!). We'll keep an eye out.
