Airfares to Europe are nearly double what they cost last year and 63% higher than pre-pandemic prices. Turns out airlines still aren't running at full capacity since the pandemic brought air travel to a near standstill. Also people have a pent-up urge to travel overseas after two years of lockdowns a.k.a. Revenge travel.
