Published
Berlin's division was a result of Germany's defeat in the second World War, the country divided into four zones of occupation, the West under the United States, Britain and France, the East under the Soviet Union. Reporter Jennifer Scherer is in Berlin as part of a research trip hosted by the German Federal Foreign Office in co-operation with the National Press Club of Australia.
