Anthony Albanese wins second term as prime minister
Published
Anthony Albanese’s Labor government has pulled off an historic consolidation of its power base to secure re-election in a night of extraordinary twists and turns. After their landslide victories three years ago, the Greens appear to have been pushed into the political wilderness in the lower house but will still hold the balance of power in the Senate.
