Australia blames China for midair incident

The United States has urged Australia to stay the course, after the Defence Force revealed a Navy helicopter narrowly avoided being hit with Chinese flares. The incident provoked diplomatic anger, with the Prime Minister labelling it unprofessional and unacceptable. But China's foreign ministry has now accused Australia of acting in a 'threatening' way near Chinese airspace.
