Children with disabilities report bullying and social exclusion on the rise

A new survey released by not-for-profit community organisation Children and Young People With a Disability has found reports of bullying included verbal abuse, physical violence, harassment and social exclusion, with students describing being spat on, threatened or mocked for their disability. Advocacy groups are calling on schools to adopt more inclusive approaches to combat harassment.
