Published 18 April 2024, 9:56 am
Australian police are warning people who took part in the retaliatory riots following Monday’s church stabbing in Sydney’s West to expect a knock on the door. They are looking for at least 50 suspects among the 2,000 people they estimate descended on the Church of the Good Shepherd - one has so far been arrested. Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel has spoken publicly for the first time since the incident - saying he forgives his alleged attacker, a 16 year old boy. Detectives are yet to speak with the teenager - who remains under police guard in hospital
