It's expected more than 220 million dollars will have been wagered on yesterday's Melbourne Cup, as the Federal Government announces new changes to betting advertising. The gamble responsibly tag line will be ditched from next year, with online gambling companies having to choose from seven new phrases. Some say the changes should go further, calling for a ban on all sports betting advertising.
