Flooding impact leaves government with $5 billion hit to economy

The Federal Treasury has estimated last year's catastrophic flooding events cost the nation's economy upwards of five billion dollars. And, with more floods ongoing in Western and South Australia, its forecasting natural disasters to be one of Australia's biggest economic dangers going forward.
