The federal government is stepping up its crackdown on the supermarket sector and a hidden form of inflation. The action comes less than a week after the ACCC released its interim report on supermarkets, identifying 'shrinkflation' as a growing concern among shoppers. That's when a product is downsized, but the price remains the same or even increases - meaning consumers are paying more for less.
