Govt splashes cash on housing crisis ahead of Federal Budget

Ahead of the budget, the federal government is spending big to supercharge its commitment to build more than a million homes by the end of the decade. Housing has become a major political sore point, with mortgages and rents soaring as interest rates have ramped up. The Opposition is now claiming Labor won't meet its target.
