Labor's housing agenda has been derailed in the Senate, but the government is vowing to reintroduce the failed bill next month. That could still leave open the possibility of using it as a double dissolution trigger. The government has already passed a raft of industrial relations changes but, ahead of the election, big business has becoming increasingly vocal about the economic consequences.
