The Defence Minister has unveiled a major funding boost for the military, while outlining pressing threats to Australia's security. Despite spending restraint warnings ahead of the federal budget, Richard Marles managed to secure an extra $50 billion over the next decade. But there is still the prospect of cuts to some programs.
