Antarctica is often referred to as Earth's last great wilderness, but there is growing concern for one of the key species in the Southern Ocean. Ocean warming and acidification have contributed to declining populations of Antarctic krill, a critical part of the Southern Ocean's ecosystem, but there's also concern about over-concentrated fishing.
