Labor secures Coalition's support for controversial migration bills

The parliament is set to endorse sweeping powers for the government to deport non-citizens to third countries and to ban foreigners from some nations. Critics say the policies are a hardline ‘anti-migrant' approach and have likened the laws to a White Australia policy.
