Mining groups have told a parliamentary hearing that there's no justification for a legislative ban on nuclear energy. The Minerals Council of Australia is also arguing for a change to uranium legislation around the country. But conservation groups told the hearing nuclear power was unreliable and unsafe in a changing climate.
