New medication for treatment resistant depression added to PBS

A new nasal spray treatment for depression has been added to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. The drug called esketamine is the first new depression medication to be subsidised by the federal government in 30 years. But experts say more needs to be done to increase accessibility.
