North Korean Defectors Gather in Sydney

It’s been nearly eighty years since North and South Korea split, dividing a population and condemning those in the North to a life under an authoritarian regime. Now a special gathering in Sydney has brought together Australian-based defectors with migrants from the South for a rare cultural exchange. This story is produced in collaboration with SBS Korean.
