Northern Territory public housing case reaches High Court

A once in a generation tenancy dispute has reached the High Court in Canberra which is examining the Northern Territory's failure to provide adequate public housing. The court is considering whether tenants in the remote community of Santa Teresa should be compensated for distress caused by lack of reasonable living conditions. And the decision could set a precedent for the nearly three million Australian households that rent.
