The federal government is expected to introduce emergency legislation as early as tomorrow after a High Court ruling triggered the release of eighty-three stateless detainees including murderers and others convicted of serious criminal offences. It comes as the Opposition applied pressure on Anthony Albanese to stay in the country, expressing concerns about community safety as the domestic debate over the war in the middle east unfolds.
