Plan to boost defence force numbers with foreign nationals

Foreign nationals who are permanent residents will be able to serve in the Australian Defence Force, in an effort to address a recruitment shortfall. But the government has been forced to clarify from where people could be enlisted after saying it will initially be open to 'like-minded' nations, then any other countries.
