Premiers push back against Coalition's radical nuclear energy plan

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has unveiled the Coalition's policy for nuclear power that he will take to the next election. He has revealed seven nuclear power plant sites in five states. The plan to transform existing coal-fired power stations would come at significant cost, and require a nationwide ban to be overturned. The government has condemned the plan - in favour of renewable energy - and so have some Labor state premiers.
