Qantas cuts Alan Joyce's payout following scathing review
Published
Former Qantas boss Alan Joyce will have over $9 million shaved from his payout following a scathing external review into the airline's governance. It's a fairly damning postscript to Alan Joyce's 15-year reign at Qantas as one of Australia's highest profile and, at one stage, highest-paid CEOs, which ended early last September. Qantas commissioned the review from management consultant firm McKinsey, and it's found him responsible for measures that have alienated travellers, staff and shareholders, starting from the COVID era.
