Qantas ordered to pay $100m to sacked workers

Qantas has been ordered to pay compensation in the tens of millions - over the illegal mass sacking of ground crew during the pandemic. A judge has ordered the airline pay $170,000 to three people over the personal hardship caused by the layoffs, and to negotiate with unions to compensate for another 1700 former workers.
