QLD police ban use of heavily criticised spit hoods
Published
: Queensland police have announced they're banning the use of spit hoods in the state's watchhouses, following a similar move in South Australia last year. The devices are designed to stop people in custody biting or spitting on officers, but have been heavily criticised due to safety concerns. A warning to our indigenous viewers that the following report contains images of someone who has died.
