The number of Australian families waiting on parent visas has ballooned in the last term of government, as wait times sit at 30 years. Despite raising the yearly intake, Labor has not committed to an overhaul of the system. Opposition leader, Peter Dutton, has been pressed to reveal if he would cut parent visas as part of the Coalition's pledge to slash permanent migration.
