Retail sales edge up 0.1% in a month

The Bureau of Statistics says supermarket sales rose just 0.3% in September, despite population growth. That slowdown was reflected across the entire retail sector, which saw just a 0.1% increase in sales last month. Some businesses faring worse than others.
