A “betrayal of children” and a “gutless backflip” - those are just some of the ways advocates are describing new youth bail law reforms in Victoria. The state government wants to start using electronic ankle bracelets on children, and has confirmed it will abandon its promise to change laws to give children a presumption of bail.
