There are promising developments in the fight against melanoma with two new treatment options offering fresh hope for patients. Overnight, new trial results presented in the U.S. show the potential of a new cancer vaccine to deliver a nearly 50% reduction in the rate of recurrence or death over three years. In trials, the vaccine was used in combination with an immunotherapy drug in patients previously diagnosed with melanoma.
