Victoria Police apologises for its role in Aboriginal child removals

Victoria's Chief Commissioner has unreservedly apologised to stolen generation survivors for the role of police in the forcible removal of children from their families. The emotional event also recognised the ongoing harm the practice has caused to Indigenous Australians.
