Published 17 October 2022, 5:25 am
The Victorian government has pledged $351 million dollars to help families affected by the ongoing floods there. The money is primarily for clean up costs and fixing thousands of flood damaged roads. While the rain has eased in the worst affected areas today, 34-thousand homes are still facing inundation or being cut-off along several swollen rivers. With more rain forecast later this week, the flood emergency will continue for many communities.
