Victorian Premier promises new laws to crack down on protesters

Police in Victoria could soon be given more powers to ban demonstrations outside places of worship. The Victorian Premier says a recent arson attack on a Melbourne synagogue is evidence of the need for stronger measures to protect social cohesion. Under new proposed laws, protesters would also be banned from covering their faces in public.
