Video surveillance for Australian meat processors

Australian meat processors, certified under the industry’s welfare certification scheme, will have to install video surveillance systems to ensure safety and welfare standards are upheld. It comes after the Australian Meat Industry Council rejected similar calls by advocacy groups last year. The move has been welcomed by animal rights groups, but they say more needs to be done.
