Wagga Wagga reflects close ties with Queen Elizabeth II

Over her lifetime, Queen Elizabeth visited dozens of regional Australian towns and cities. And they flocked to see her, eager for a chance to meet or even just get a glimpse of the monarch. She passed through Wagga Wagga and the Riverina on her first trip down under, where affection for her still runs strong.
