Warnings over surge in domestic and family violence over Christmas

Seventy-four women across Australia have been killed in gender-based violence this year. That figure, from advocacy group Counting Dead Women, is already higher than last year’s final death toll. Domestic violence crisis workers are now warning of one of the worst periods is still to come.
