Comments from the Sydney Kings chairman are under investigation following the National Basketball League's (NBL) Indigenous round.
The ladder leaders lost to the second-placed Perth Wildcats 110-100 on Saturday.
But it wasn't the upset loss that drew the most attention - instead Sydney Kings chairman Paul Smith's social media comments about the Perth Wildcats Indigenous Round uniform caused a stir.

Mr Smith tweeted the Perth Wildcats were "using the guise of indiginous (sic) cultural engagement and reconciliation to promote 9 championships, 33 finals appearances and a heavy travel schedule on a singlet."
The Wildcats condemned Smith's tweet, labelling the remarks as 'highly offensive'.
"The Perth Wildcats are appalled by the ignorant statements made via Twitter regarding its Indigenous Round uniform design," a statement released by the team said.
"The comments are both highly offensive to the Perth Wildcats and disrespectful to leading Australian Indigenous Statesperson Dr Richard Walley OAM - who developed the cultural narrative and designed the uniform.
"The Wildcats believe the comments have unfortunately tainted the inaugural NBL Indigenous Round, in what has otherwise been a significant step forward in the journey of reconciliation for clubs and fans."
Former Perth Wildcat Greg Hire took to his own Twitter to express his unhappiness with Mr Smith's comments.
"You're (sic) tweet last night is extremely disrespectful to Uncle Richard and degrades the work that has been achieved," he tweeted.
"Would strongly consider you making contact with himself personally, and other members of the aboriginal (sic) community because I'm shocked that you would make that statement."
The NBL said it would investigate Mr Smith's comments.
The NBL is also looking into Sunday's game between the Illawarra Hawks and New Zealand Breakers in Wollongong, which came to an abrupt end because of a leaking roof.
The decision came as rain was entering the building, making the floor slippery.
The game was called off in the third quarter for safety reasons with the Breakers leading 65-52.
On Monday, the NBL said the details of the final result are yet to come but that the New Zealand Breakers would retain the win despite the premature end to the game.
New Zealand will go on to play the Brisbane Bullets on Friday who made their sixth straight win with an 87-83 victory over Melbourne United during the Indigenous Round.

While the Adelaide Sixers had a 100-93 home win over South East Melbourne Phoenix on Sunday.
